Mandel is the new code name of EOSIO software release, after its development was taken over from Block One by EOS Network Foundation. The global upgrade of EOS mainnet is planned for September 21st 2022.
The Mandel software is compatible with Ubuntu versions 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04. Here I tested and described the package build procedure for generic EOSIO and WAX-specific node software:
